The Making of CO Performance
Since the beginning, Custom Offsets has been dedicated to making the process of modifying your vehicle easier. After searching hundreds of forum pages trying to find the perfect wheel size and offsets for his ride, our founder, Shawn, decided it was time for a change. In 2013, he made that change by launching Custom Offsets and more importantly, the Custom Offsets gallery.
8 years later, the gallery has grown to over 80,000 vehicles and has helped hundreds of thousands of truck enthusiasts find their perfect wheel and tire combination.
Over the following 8 years, Custom Offsets continued to challenge the status quo of shopping for wheels and tires. We quickly learned that wheels and tires were not the end of the road. The Custom Offsets Family told us they needed an easy place to find their perfect lift kit to clear their new wheels and tires, and we did just that.
But it doesn’t stop there.
We decided to make your build even easier, now our one-stop-shop includes performance parts, so you can get everything you need for your build in one easy place.
Intakes
Starting off with cold air intakes, many people have a lot to say about these and whether they do anything or not. Most of those people bought their intakes off of eBay for $20. So our first tip is to make sure you’re getting a reputable cold air intake system. We only carry brands that we trust at Custom Offsets.
So what is a cold air intake? This upgrade increases airflow to the engine. Most of our aftermarket performance won’t have a box cover to optimize the amount of airflow to the engine.
They will also have fewer bends for a smoother route and they will be larger as well. This offers continuous airflow into your engine, which offers greater, more consistent power and improved mileage for your truck.
Tuners
Moving on to tuners for your truck. These have been getting increasingly popular in the truck market as people are looking for more and more performance out of their trucks. This is an easy modification to immediately get more power out of your truck.
What does it do? Essentially, a tuner reconfigures your truck’s software. It affects many things but primarily it will work with the engine management software. Inputting and outputting data to increase horsepower and torque.
Exhaust
Alright after these modifications you’re already getting optimized power out of your truck. Why not a little more? We obviously know that an exhaust makes cool, loud noises that make you sound fast, but do they also help to improve your performance on top of all the noise? Yes, it sure does.

At their core, exhausts lead harmful gases out of the vehicle as well as control noise, improve engine performance, and fuel consumption. A performance exhaust frees up some of the power in your engine, allowing for a quicker path for exhaust gases to escape.
The longer it takes for your exhaust gases to exit the truck, the longer it takes for oxygen to enter and create more power. A performance exhaust allows your engine to breathe better, and therefore perform better.
Gauges
Last but not least, our final performance modification is Gauges. A gauge doesn’t necessarily improve your truck’s performance at all, but it does allow you to monitor the performance of your truck. This not only helps you to watch how awesome your truck is performing, but it can also be a great preventative maintenance tool as well. So you can keep track of your truck’s performance.
