  1. 2005 titan crew cab if i mount in the engine bay and run the lights to the wheels, should 2 extensions enough to run to rear wheels? If i get the 8 lights should i get 4 extensions?

  2. I have a 12 f-250 8 in lift, and I mud a lot. You say these go into the wheel wells. How secure is this on a mud truck. I would love to do this for when I am parked.

    • They come with hardware to mount them and they’re very secure! I don’t see any issues with putting them on your truck

  3. If rock lights are mounted inside the wheel well where inside would be the best place to get good coverage of light?

    • Top of the wheel wells and towards the backside to avoid shinning right down on the tire. The more lift you have the more light coverage you will get as well.

  4. So are they completely waterproof. Was wondering about under swimdeck on my jetboat.

    • Ewww I don’t know about completely submerging them. That might be asking to much of them. You would probably be better off finding lights that are specifically for that purpose. Probably easier to find lights that run off a 120v system as well.

  5. Would I need to run extensions for an 2007 ford ranger extended cab

    • Jason, you should be okay without them on this vehicle, but I would always recommend to get (2) extensions just in case to reach the rear wheel wells.

  6. will i need extensions for my 2014 chevy silverado 2500hd single cab 8ft bed?

  7. Would I need any extensions for a 99 ram ext cab?

    • Yes! In order to mount them in the engine bay where we recommend mounting the control box, you would need 2 extensions for you truck.

  8. Would a 2013 Toyota Tundra need extensions?

    • Yes, we recommend using 2 extensions so you can mount the control box in the engine bay and reach the rear wheel wells!

  9. 2000 Nissan Pathfinder, engine bay mount. Will I need extensions, and can I run the 20in light bar through the same app?? I like the circus theme!

  10. Would i be able to run the main power to a switch inside the cab?

    • If you want you can wire in a switch but one isn’t included. Its only has Bluetooth controls unless you provide and wire in your own switch.

  11. Will this fit my 2011 f150 platinum

    • I would go with 2 extensions! Makes install a lot easier and you can also mount the control box in the engine bay out of the elements!

  12. does black label make these in a 4 piece white led kit?

  13. how much brighter is the 8pc kit than the 4 pc kit

  14. Would I need extensions for a single cab Long box 1997 ram 2500

  15. is there anyway i could buy just one rock light or do i have to buy the whole set? the blue led went out in the one of the rock lights, and i didn’t get lifetime.

  16. Would I need any extentions 6.5 lifted Chevy 1500 crew cab

  17. Not sure if people on the reviews have your kits installed but I’ve been reading that a lot of people are having issues connecting with the BLEDIM app. Is this the only app that’s compatible with your kits?

    • Its the only app that we know of that will connect to it. We honestly haven’t see to many issues. It probably depends on the device they are using it for.

  18. 2017 ram 1500 Crew cab would i need extensions? How hard are they to install?

    • Yes, you would want 2 of them. They aren’t really hard its just a little time consuming to do it the right way!

  19. I have a 94 gmc single cab. Wouldn’t need an extension correct? I doubt it but just making sure

  20. I was wondering if I turn these off with the app will the Bluetooth box run my battery dead

  21. Would I need any wife extension for my 2009 Chevy 1500 z71?

    • It doesn’t need any extensions if you choose to locate the control box in a central location and run the power wire with a longer wire to the battery. If you want to locate the control box in the engine bay 2 extensions will be needed to reach the back wheel wells.

  22. I am trying to purchase lights for my husbands F250 superduty, as a gift. If I purchase this, is there anything additional I will need to buy? I am a little naive (a little), but I dont was to purchase rhis thinking he will be able to install and go, and then i find out, i needed to buy something else.

    • I would go with 2 extensions with that big of a truck. They are available via drop down at an additional cost. If he doesn’t have any zip ties you might want to pick up a package of those. They are pretty common so most people have them!

  23. Hi, I am wondering if yall have any extension wires.

  24. Do these change colors to music ?

  25. Are these a specific color or can they be any color

    • There are 16 million colors! They however don’t do white very well. It mixes colors to make a washed out white. If your looking for a white rock light these wouldn’t be a good option.

  26. Are these lights and control box comepletly waterproof? I’m thinking of putting them on my can-am atv and these lights and control box would be underwater constantly.

    • They aren’t waterproof but water resistant. The only light bar you will find waterproof is marine grade and there are only a handful of them on the market and will cost you a pretty penny!

  27. How are these turned on and off? Is it though the app or do I need to install a switch?

    • They are turned off and on via the Bluetooth app but if you would like you can add a switch (not provided) if you would like.

  28. Hi I was wondering what’s the best way to mount them in a superduty bed wheel well. Thanks

    • There is a spot between the pinch weld around the middle of the wheel well and the outside of the bed sides. Anywhere between that and it will be hidden between the inner bed side and outer bed side.

  29. Is it better to mount them to the wheel wells or under the truck?

    • Rock lights are intended to go in the wheel wells but can be mounted under the truck if you wish to!

  30. Whats the difference between 8pod and 4pod? is it just 4 lights and 8 lights?

    • No, they are specifically a 4 pod kit or 8 pod kit. 4 pod kits has 4 leads coming out of the control box and the 8 pod kit has 8 leads. So you can’t just add lights to a 4 pod kit to make an 8 pod kit if that makes sense.

  31. I’m wanting to put these on my can am sxs, I’m running a pro armor sound bar that I connect to via bluetooth. My question is will I have to unpair from my sound bar everytime I want to change settings on these lights?

    • Sorry Mikey, I honestly don’t know the answer to that one. That is something you would need to check with the sound bar company. This bar does have a master switch as well you you don’t always have to be paired with it in order to operate it.

  32. Can these be tied into parking/running lights for ignition control/unlock mode of the truck?

    • I don’t believe that would work being the lights are controlled via Bluetooth. You would eliminate a ton of options wiring them that way. I think you would be better or buying single color lights.

  33. Can y’all make a how to video for these please ?

  34. Does the app control more than one light set? I was given a 4pc kit for an x mas gift, now thinking to add more.

    • Unfortunately not. The 4 piece has only 4 leads coming out of the control box so you would need a whole new kit. If yours are BLL we could probably exchange them for an 8 piece kit if you wanted to upgrade and pay the difference in kit prices. If you would be interested in that just shoot us an email info@customoffsets.com for details.

      • Sorry, I misinformed you. All our kits are controlled by the same app but you would need to switch back and forth from one kit to the other. They can be labeled on the app though but will still need to be controlled separately.

  35. so the lights are app controlled

  36. on one of the resent youtube vids you said something about them having a white chip in them now wondering If that’s true

    • Sorry Colton, there may have been a miss communication. The RGB mixes all colors to make a milky white color. These aren’t a good option if you are looking for a pure white color.

  37. Do you guys have these in just a clean cool white color?

  38. What can be used to run these lights while truck is off without running battery dead?

    • They will run a very long time with truck off hooked up to the truck battery. Haven’t had anyone drain their battery running rock lights. They draw very minimal power.

  39. Are these lights available in white with color changing but the white won’t be miked with colors

    • Unfortunately this kit mixes RGB to make white so it does create the milky color. We can get some single that will have the same functions. Shoot is an email for info and lead times.

  40. What app runs the lights?

  41. Quick question are these lights water proof of power wash friendly I get my truck washed at Blue Beacon I get mud stuck up in there will these lights handle power wash guns?

  42. Hello, I am interested in the rock lights. Quick question, does this kit come with all the wires/wire harness needed to reach all four wheel wells of standard pickup trucks? Thanks you for your time.
    Jordan Magler

    • The power wire may need to be lengthened to reach the battery depending on the application. Most customers choose to mount the control box up under the frame and find a close ground and just run a power wire.
