The first number is how many lugs; the second is the diameter of the circle they sit on, which can be measured in inches or millimeters. If the pattern on the wheel doesn’t match the pattern on your truck, the wheel won’t attach correctly. Common truck patterns include 5×5, 6×135, 6×5.5, 8×6.5, and 8×180, and they’re not interchangeable.
