What is a bolt pattern and why does it matter?

Bolt pattern is the count and spacing of the lugs that hold your wheel to the hub, written as something like 6×135 or 8×6.5. The first number is how many lugs; the second is the diameter of the circle they sit on, which can be measured in inches or millimeters. If the pattern on the wheel doesn’t match the pattern on your truck, the wheel won’t attach correctly. Common truck patterns include 5×5, 6×135, 6×5.5, 8×6.5, and 8×180, and they’re not interchangeable. You can use the filters on this store page to narrow your search down to what actually fits your truck.

What does wheel offset mean?

Offset, usually measured in millimeters, is the distance from the wheel’s mounting surface to its center. A negative offset pushes the wheel out past the fender, which results in a wider stance. A zero or positive offset keeps the wheel tucked closer to the hub or flush within it.

Forged vs. cast wheels — which is better?

That depends on what you’re looking for in your truck build. Forged wheels are machined from a single billet of aluminum, which can leave them up to 10% lighter than Cast wheels — this also makes them stronger. Forged wheels are ideal if you want a bit more variety in your design — because they’re custom built, you’ll have more options to work with. Cast wheels are created using aluminum alloy materials, and are usually more affordable for most budgets — this makes them work great for daily drivers.

What does “No Rub Fit” mean?

No Rub Fit means the wheel size and offset have been verified to fit your truck with zero rubbing at full lock and over bumps — no trimming, no modifications needed. We back it with real fitment data from thousands of builds in our gallery. This is the option you’ll want if you just want to install your wheels and get back out on the road in style.Custom Offsets offers two additional fitment recommendations for your truck to help with this — CO Choice (best for a wider stance with minimal rubbing), and Aggressive (largest and widest build for your truck), depending on the look you want. With those options, you might run into issues with rubbing and scrubbing, but if you’re into that sort of thing, we don’t judge. We welcome it, actually.

What does “CO Choice” mean?

CO Choice pushes wheels and tires further out than No Rub for a wider, more planted stance. Setups may rub at full lock or under heavy compression, and some buyers do minor trimming on liners, mud flaps, or pinch welds to clean it up. Nothing structural, just the kind of light fitment work most enthusiasts are comfortable with. Pick this tier if you want more presence and don’t mind a small project.

What does “Aggressive Fit” mean?

Aggressive is for builders chasing the boldest possible look. Setups in this tier will bolt on, but expect to do work by trimming fenders, cutting liners, adjusting suspension, or fabricating to get a clean ride. We can’t promise these run right out of the box; that part depends on you and your build. Pick this tier if you’ve done this before, or you’ve got a shop and a plan.
