Suspension: Suspension Lift 3"

Suspension Details: 3.5 rough country premium kit

Suspension Brand: Rough Country

Any Trimming or Rubbing? Very slight rubbing in reverse

Details: Rk sport hood, go rhino tube steps, gmpp sport muffler, spectre intake

Tires are 275/70/18 BFG AT's, rub very little in reverse at full crank, but not enough to really bother me or have to do any trimming. I love the wheels, great finish, perfect offset in my opinion. Stick out just a hair, but not enough to throw crap all over the truck. To me, with the 3.5 lift, and the wheel and tire combo, the truck has the perfect stance. I wanted to go higher, but wanted to fit in my garage. Having this set up, my truck does fit through a standard height garage door with a few inches to spare.

  1. I have an RK sport hood as well, and it doesn’t sit flush, way too high. How was the fitment on yours? Do you have any recommendations to help me out? Much appreciated

  2. what hood do you have and where did you have your grill and impact bar painted. I just got a 2011 Extended Cab and love the look of the front end on yours!

    • Chris, that was an RK sport hood which I bought through auto anything.com. On Silveradoforum.com I had a thread showing how to prep and paint a new fiberglass hood. It was a pretty cool hood, but it didn’t fit the best. As far as the front end goes, that was a factory option called the “appearance package” came factory with a full painted front end, different shocks, painted handles and some interior options

  3. Love the truck. I have a question for you though. I have a 2008 GMC sierra with a 2in Rough Country level. I ordered the same exact tires you have but I cant decide on what offset wheel to get. In your opinion do you think a +12 offset with fit on my set up? I’m okay with trimming some plastic just don’t want to trim any metal. I appreciate your time.

    Thank you

    • Hey randy, thanks, I loved that truck. Traded it tho for an identical ECSB duramax. Love it even more! The wheels on that truck were 0 offset which means they stick out further than a +12 offset. So +12 will definitely fit with no trimming I would think. If you ran a negative or -12 offset, with a 2 inch lift, there would be ALOT of trimming. The 0 offset with a 3.5 lift seemed to work well and pretty sure I didn’t have to trim anything except for the air dam
